Filipa Perdigão Ribeiro is a coordinating professor at the University of the Algarve, School of Management, Tourism and Hospitality (Portugal). She holds a PhD in Applied Linguistics, Lancaster University (UK). Her current research interests focus on links between language(s), discourse and tourism in their multiple facets. She has published papers on national identity (Journal of Language and Politics, 2011), on sense of place amongst tourists (International Journal of Culture, Tourism, and Hospitality Research, 2013) and migration (Social & Cultural Geography, 2017; Discourse, Context & Media, 2018). She regularly reviews papers for several journals and scientific meetings and is a researcher in CiTUR –Centre for Tourism Research, Development and Innovation (Portugal).
