Her research in the field of lifestyle migration stems from her doctoral thesis, and has led to several publications, including articles in journals such as Mobilities and Social and Cultural Geography, as well as an edited book, Practising the Good Life: The Good Life in Practices. She is currently a researcher at CiTUR -  Centre for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism (Portugal).
